Evakit Paracord:

30 meters of multi-purpose rope, based on military standards, ensures robustness, lightness and versatility. Indispensable in evacuation or crisis management situations, it enables you to respond to the unexpected: set up a shelter, secure a load, repair equipment, carry out an emergency rescue…

Made up of 7 inner strands, paracord can also be stripped for even more precise use, each strand being usable for fine troubleshooting or specific needs.
The inner strands :

If the need arises, it’s possible to extract one or more inner strands from the paracord. Their fine, fibrous ends make them ideal for lighting a fire, making it easier to catch the spark or flame, even when natural resources (dry bark, grass) are scarce. The inner strands can also be used for emergency sewing, delicate fastening or even to improvise a fishing line or net.

– Set up a shelter using a tarp, poncho, or survival blanket
– Secure, strap, or fasten equipment
– Make a clothesline or reinforce a lightweight structure
– Replace a belt, strap, shoelace, or handle
– Repair a backpack strap or everyday item
– Make a splint, support sling, or improvised stretcher
– Create an emergency harness or mark an area
– Hang a lamp, radio, or other items in a shelter
– Inner strands: fire starting, sewing, improvised fishing

Figure-Eight Knot: For creating a strong loop at the end of a rope. Ideal for anchoring and safety.
– Take the rope’s end (20–30 cm).
– Form a loop (the working end goes over the standing part).
– Pass the end under the standing part and make a turn.
– Thread the end back through the loop.
– Tighten both parts; the “8” naturally forms.

Square Knot (Reef Knot): To join two ropes of the same diameter or securely close a package/shelter.
– Lay the end of the first rope over the second.
– Cross one end over the other.
– Pass one end under the other, then repeat in the opposite direction.
– Pull tight: the knot is neat, with both ends side by side.

Clove Hitch: Highly versatile; allows you to quickly secure a rope to a stake, tree, or any cylindrical object.
– Wrap the rope around the support.
– Pass the end over the standing part and make another loop around the support.
– Slide the end under the last turn.
-Tighten: the knot holds well under tension, adjustable, and easy to untie.

Double Fisherman’s Knot: For securely joining two ropes, even under tension.
– Overlap the two ropes by about 15 cm.
– With the first rope, make 2 turns around the second, then pass the end through these turns.
– Tighten to form a small knot on the second rope.
– Repeat with the second rope on the first.
– Pull tight: the two knots slide against each other and lock.

Taut-Line Hitch (or tarp tensioner): Perfect for tensioning a tarp/shelter and keeping it tight, even if the rope stretches.

– Make a simple loop on the rope near the shelter side.
– Pass the working end through the loop, then make one or two additional loops around the standing line.
– Pull tight: the tension can be easily adjusted.
– To release, simply pull the working end.
